I have always had a fascination with the idea of melding the sciences with the world of fine arts. Scientific illustration allows me to look at the world around and capture it artistically.
I received my Associated of Science Degree in Technical and Scientific Illustration from Cuyamaca College (California) and studied Scientific Illustration at Marylhurst University (Oregon).
My experience with scientific illustration include an artist-in-residency at Milwaukie High School (Portland, OR) and Jackson bottom Wetlands (Hillsboro, OR) and medical illustration at University of California at San Diego Medical School.
I am excited to soon be working with The Guild of Natural Science Illustrators (GNSI), a non-profit international organization of persons employed, or genuinely interested in the field of natural science illustration. This organization works to promote better understanding of the profession by the general public and those persons requiring natural science illustration services and to increase the respect for the profession through encouraging high standards of competence and ethics.
